New Construction Record for the City of Dieppe in 2022

DIEPPE - The dynamism that characterizes the City of Dieppe is alive and well, with real estate growth continuing in November and December and a new construction record for the municipality.

Some 550 permits were awarded, for a total worth of more than $119.4 million in investments, surpassing the previous record of $101.9 million set in 2021.

The municipality authorized 115 permits for commercial, industrial and institutional projects, worth approximately $19.7 million, in addition to granting 435 permits for residential projects representing $99.7 million in investments.

“The results of the 2021 census clearly reflect our municipality’s vitality, with a population increase of 11%,” said Mayor Yvon Lapierre. “The upturn in real estate is also the result of well-planned development, particularly along Dieppe Boulevard and in the downtown core.”

A number of other large-scale projects are in the works, a sure sign that 2023 will be another strong year!
