Dieppe Celebrates Earth Day on April 26

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe invites you to celebrate Earth Day at Rotary St-Anselme Park on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy a day of llamas, waste collection, exhibitors, bat-hut building, and more!

Dieppe’s annual community clean-up is back! This event is open to everyone and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free garbage bags and gloves will be provided. Plus, participants will be entered into a prize draw!

Llamas and bat huts

Meet the friendly llamas from Llamazing Adventures—and you might even spot a real dromedary! Prefer nocturnal creatures? Sign up to build your own bat hut. Bats play a vital role in controlling unwanted insects.

Doing one’s part

A number of exhibitors will be on hand to share eco-friendly ideas and initiatives.

“There are simple steps we can all take to protect the environment,” says Alexandre Truchon-Savard, Environment Director for the City of Dieppe. “This event shows that we can make a difference together—and have fun while doing it.”

Residents taking part in the community trail and park clean-up this weekend can leave their filled bags next to a park garbage can or along the trail. Municipal staff will be by to collect them.
