  • Bear sighted in the municipality (July 28, 2023)

    The municipality has been informed that a bear was sighted in a residential neighborhood.

    Black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, but they are opportunistic feeders, and will attempt to eat anything that looks, smells or tastes like food.

  • Lane reductions – Champlain Street and Acadie Avenue

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that lane reductions are expected on the following streets from July 31 to September 1.

    • Champlain Street, between Acadie Avenue and western city limits (towards Moncton)

    • Acadie Avenue, between Champlain and Marché streets

    These lane reductions are necessary to allow for asphalt milling and paving work.

  • Road closure – Emmanuel Street (until the end of August)

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Emmanuel Street, between Tower and Airport streets, will be completely closed to traffic until the end of August.

    BGC Dieppe will be accessible through Airport Street.

  • ImaginAIR festival takes flight!

    DIEPPE, NB — Kite flyers will be in for a treat from July 28 to 30 at Dieppe’s Dover Park. Participants from around the world and talented circus artists will take to the stage to entertain the crowds during the festivities.

  • Micro-surfacing work throughout the municipality (1)

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that there will be lane reductions and partial street closures on the following streets from July 19 to the end of August.

    • Alain-Gillette Street
    • Collège Street (between Gauvin Road and Champlain Street)
    • Chartersville Road (between Bahamas and Centrale streets)
    • Industrial Street
    • Vanier Street

    These changes to traffic patterns are necessary in order to allow for micro-surfacing work.

  • Affordable Housing: Dieppe Wishes to be Part of the Solution

    DIEPPE, NB — Dieppe City Council adopted an affordable housing incentive policy at its public meeting on July 10, 2023. An initial envelope of over $250,000 will be available for grants targeting new affordable housing units, up to an amount equivalent to the development and building permit costs collected by the City.

  • Lane reductions on Acadie Avenue (July 14, 2023)

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that there will be lane reductions on Acadie Avenue, between Champlain and Alain-Gillette streets, on Friday, July 14, weather permitting.

    These lane reductions are necessary in order to allow for asphalt repair work.

  • Lane reductions on Acadie Avenue (1)

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that there will be lane reductions on Acadie Avenue, between Champlain and Alain-Gillette streets, on Thursday, July 13. In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to the next day.

  • Trail closure in Rotary St-Anselme Park (July 12 to 16, 2023)

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to inform residents that certain trails in Rotary St-Anselme Park will be closed from July 12 to 16.

    This closure is necessary in order to allow for the Dieppe Canada Cup in cycling to be held.

  • Road closure – Belliveau Street

    DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Belliveau Street will be completely closed to traffic from Thursday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 12.

    This closure is necessary in order to allow for work on the sewer system.
