Barbecues
Summer is barbecue season! Keep the season safe by following these basic rules:
- Portable barbecues that burn charcoal or gas must only be used outdoors.
- Place your barbecue at a distance of 1 m (3 ft) from combustible materials before lighting it.
- If you are cooking on a patio, make sure the barbecue will not fall on anything combustible if it tips over.
- Barbecues should not be used on apartment balconies. Check with your landlord to see if barbecuing is allowed.
- Gas cylinders should never be stored inside a home.
