Dog Licences

All dog owners living in Dieppe must register their pet with the municipality (see Bylaw S-6). Owners must apply to register their dog for a tag or their dog with a microchip as soon as the animal reaches the age of 4 months.

Fees

• $10 per dog (valid for the life of the animal)
• No charge if the dog is microchipped or a service dog

How to register

Registration can be done at City Hall, at thePeople for Animal Wellbeing and with some veterinarians located in the municipality. To register a microchipped dog, fill out the online form.

Current proof of vaccination for rabies is required for a licence or to register your microchipped dog.

Registered dogs take less time to reunite with their owners.
